Undoubtedly you are aware that economic times are hard right now. People are getting laid off in great numbers, businesses are suffering, and people who own their own businesses are struggling to make it!

It would be bad enough if economic problems were the only difficulties we faced. Unfortunately, there are many more problems in people's lives. There are health problems, family problems, marital problems, neighborhood problems, church problems, moral problems, and government problems, just to mention a few.

In the midst of these difficult times, it would be nice to hear an encouraging word. That's exactly what we offer at Ringwood Baptist Church. We have GOOD NEWS FOR BAD TIMES. I can sum up this good news with 3 simple statements.

1. THOUGH GOD KNOWS ALL ABOUT YOU, HE LOVES YOU!
God understands you better than anyone else. He realizes that you are your own biggest problem! He knows the secret sins that you have committed. He knows how undeserving of His love you are, and yet He still loves you!
Isaiah 64:6 - But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

2. THOUGH YOU HAVE FAILED GOD, HE SENT HIS SON TO DIE FOR YOUR SINS!
God, being just, could not forgive you unless someone paid the penalty for your sins. God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for your sins so you can have forgiveness and eternal life.
Romans 5:6-8 - For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

3. WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST GOD FORGIVES YOU AND MAKES YOU HIS CHILD!
God has chosen to make each person who turns to Christ alone for forgiveness His child. It is a matter of you placing your faith in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 1:12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

If you trust Christ, your troubles will not go away. However, you will face them as a child of God and a future citizen of Heaven. That is certainly GOOD NEWS FOR BAD TIMES!
